The Art of the Sacred Overflow: When Resilience Becomes Radiance
The Art of the Sacred Overflow: When Resilience Becomes Radiance
May 23, 2026
We have reached the Saturday of our third week in May. The transition from spring to the doorstep of summer is almost complete. In my garden, the petals are fully open, and the fragrance is heavy in the air.
Yesterday, we talked about the Anchor—the necessity of grounding and leaning on the Divine when the physical pain of being a Lupus Savior feels like a mountain we can’t climb. Today, we move into the Overflow.
From Holding On to Letting Go
There is a unique paradox in living with a chronic condition like Lupus. We spend so much energy "holding on"—holding on to our schedules, holding on to our strength, holding on to our hope. But true Vitality is found when we realize that we don't have to "hold" the light; we simply have to be the window it shines through.
When I say I have God by my side, it means I don't have to be the source of the power. I am just the vessel. And even a vessel that feels "cracked" by pain can still overflow with purpose.
The Saturday Shift: Pleasure as Restorative Power
As a coach for Passion, Pleasure, and Purpose, I often see women treat pleasure like a luxury they have to "earn" by being productive. But when you are navigating a body that tests you daily, pleasure is your Medicine.
Today isn't about the "grind." It’s about the Glow. * Pleasure is the cooling sensation of silk against your skin when your nerves are on fire.
Passion is the quiet hum of a new idea for a workbook, even if you’re writing it from bed.
Purpose is the choice to wear your Purple with pride, knowing that your presence alone is an act of advocacy.
The Overflow Principle
When we stop fighting our reality and start flowing with the Divine support available to us, something miraculous happens: we begin to overflow. We find that we have a kind word for a stranger, a burst of creativity for our brand, or a moment of deep laughter, even in the midst of a flare.
This is the "Sacred Path." It’s not a path that avoids the valley of pain, but a path that leads you through it until you reach the plateau of peace.
Today’s Empowerment Ritual:
The Purple Infusion: Drink something vibrant and nourishing today. A berry smoothie, a glass of infused water, or a soothing herbal tea. As you sip, visualize that color flooding your cells with repair and ease.
The Sacred Vent: If you’re feeling the weight today, talk to God (or your journal) with total honesty. Don't "pretty it up." Release the frustration so you can make room for the peace.
The Mini-Win: Identify one small thing you did today that made you feel "Alive." Maybe it was just brushing your hair or choosing a beautiful affirmation. Celebrate it.
To My Fellow Saviors:
You are not "less than" because you have to move slower. You are actually more—more resilient, more aware, and more deeply connected to the source of all life. Your purple is a badge of a warrior who knows that her strength is made perfect in weakness.
How are you allowing your spirit to 'overflow' today? Even if your body feels like it's at a standstill, where is your heart traveling? Let’s share our Saturday wins in the comments.
