The Alchemy of the Anchor: Finding Stillness in the Surge
The Alchemy of the Anchor: Finding Stillness in the Surge
May 22
We are officially in the final stretch of May. The world outside is reaching a fever pitch of green, the sun is staying late for dinner, and the pressure to "bloom at maximum capacity" is everywhere.
But today, I want to talk about a different kind of power. Not the power of the sprout breaking through the soil, but the power of the Anchor.
The Reality of the "Low-Battery" Day
As a Lupus Savior, my relationship with May is layered. While the world celebrates the "Awareness" of my journey, my body is often living the reality of it in real-time. This week, the "Purple Flame" I carry has felt more like a low-burning ember than a roaring fire.
There is a specific kind of exhaustion that comes when your purpose is high, but your physical "Sacred Container" is signaling for a pause. On days like this, the pain doesn't just sit in the joints; it tries to sit in the mind. It whispers that if I’m not "doing," I’m not "winning."
That whisper is a lie.
Grounding as a Divine Act
When the weight feels like too much to carry, I am reminded of the Somatic Grounding I share with my clients. We often think of grounding as a "tool" to get back to work, but what if grounding is the work itself?
Today, having God by my side means acknowledging that I don't have to be the one holding everything up. I am leaning into the "Sacred Lean." I am reminded that the Earth doesn't ask the trees to grow faster; it simply provides the soil. God doesn't ask me to ignore my pain; He offers a place to rest within it.
Resilience is a Quiet Vibration
We often mistake resilience for "toughness'“, the ability to take a hit and keep moving. But true resilience, the kind that sustains a Lupus Savior, is actually Elasticity. It’s the ability to stretch when life is demanding and to contract into deep, restorative silence when the body demands it.
If you are wearing your purple today and feeling the weight of your own "Anchor," know this: You are not stuck; you are rooted. An anchor isn't there to stop the ship from ever moving; it’s there to make sure the ship doesn't drift away in the storm.
Today’s Sovereign Practice:
The Weight Drop: Sit in a chair and consciously "give" your weight to it. Feel the floor holding your feet. Tell your nervous system: "I am being held. I am safe to be still."
The Divine Filter: When a thought starts with "I should be...", filter it through your North Star of Vitality. Does that "should" add to your life force, or drain it? If it drains it, let it go.
Purple Grace: If you are in pain, visualize a soft purple light wrapping around the areas that hurt. This isn't just "awareness"; it is Affection.
A Note to the Weary Warrior
Your vitality is not a performance. It is a presence. Even on the days when you feel you "can't carry on," your spirit is doing the profound work of enduring, trusting, and being. You are a savior because you save space for your own humanity.
How are you practicing "The Anchor" today? Is there a part of your journey you need to surrender to the Divine so you can finally breathe? Let’s talk in the comments as we carry the purple together.
