🎨 Claiming Your Creative Rights

Happy March 25th!

We are entering the final stretch of Women’s History Month. Today is a day that vibrates with the energy of justice and the fire of creativity. It is the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, a solemn day of reflection. It is also Tolkien Reading Day and Maryland Day.

Today’s theme is Legacy and Liberation. It’s about understanding the stories we’ve inherited, the "worlds" we build for ourselves, and the courage it takes to write a new ending.

1. The Power of the Myth: Building Your Middle-Earth (Passion)

Tolkien Reading Day celebrates the date the "One Ring" was destroyed in The Lord of the Rings. It’s a day for the dreamers who build entire universes from scratch.

🔑 The Action: The World-Building Prompt

If you were the author of your own epic saga, what "quest" would you be on right now? Are you in the "quiet shire" phase, or are you climbing the "mountain"?

Self-Love Tip (Passion): Give your journey the respect of an epic. Even the small tasks are part of a larger story. When you view your Passion as a quest rather than a chore, your motivation transforms.

The Goal: You are the protagonist. You don't have to wait for a "wizard" to tell you it’s time to start; you can choose to begin the adventure today.

2. Lady Day: The Voice of the Soul (Purpose)

In the UK and Ireland, March 25th was traditionally "Lady Day"—the first day of the new year in the old calendar. But today, we also honor the legacy of Billie Holiday, nicknamed "Lady Day," whose birthday is just around the corner and whose impact on music and civil rights remains unmatched.

🔑 The Action: The Honest Note

Billie Holiday sang with a vulnerability that changed music forever. She didn't try to sound like anyone else.

Self-Love Tip (Purpose): What is one "unfiltered" truth you’ve been holding back? Today, find a way to express it—whether in a journal, a song, or a conversation.

Women’s History Connection: We honor Ida B. Wells, born into slavery and later a fearless journalist and educator who used her pen to fight for justice. She proved that when a woman speaks her truth, she can move mountains and change the "calendar" of history.

The Result: Liberation begins with the truth. When you find your voice, you find your Purpose.

3. Maryland Day: Celebrating the "Free State" (Pleasure)

Maryland Day commemorates the arrival of the first colonists to the region. It’s a day that represents new beginnings and the search for freedom. In your life, a "Free State" is a mindset where you allow yourself to enjoy life without the "tax" of guilt.

🔑 The Action: The Guilt-Free Indulgence

Identify one thing you love to do but often feel "guilty" about (e.g., reading for hours, taking a long bath, or sleeping in).

Self-Love Tip (Pleasure): Declare yourself a "Free State" for one hour today. Do that thing with 100% Pleasure and 0% apology.

The Goal: Pleasure is a form of self-sovereignty. You don't need permission to enjoy the life you are working so hard to build.

"I'm a trail blazer. I'm a woman who has a lot of passion for what I do."

Ida B. Wells

This March 25th, honor the legacy of those who fought for freedom. Build your "Middle-earth" with intention, sing your truth like Lady Day, and claim your right to a "Free State" of mind.

What is the "Quest" you are officially committing to for the rest of this Spring?
